My name is Jacqueline Tovar, and I am a licensed, credentialed, and ASHA certified Speech-Language Pathologist. I earned my B.A. and M.A. in Communicative Disorders from California State University, Fullerton and have been practicing speech-language pathology since 2013. I have since worked with the pediatric population (2-12) primarily in the educational setting with students with a wide range of needs including but not limited to autism, speech sound disorders, developmental language disorders, visual impairments, and stuttering. I particularly enjoy working with young children during their early school age years (2-5) as it allows me to be my most creative and playful during therapeutic sessions. I have come to learn that this is a special window in their life where rapid language growth occurs. Being the one to facilitate these important life skills and propel them forward to achieve their speech and language goals is my main professional objective for my clients and their families. ​   Outside of my professional life, I enjoy spending time with my two young sons, husband and two dogs. I am an avid runner and strive to complete a marathon once a year. I also enjoy backpacking with my husband and can’t wait to share this passion with my sons as they grow older.
